Welcome to the website of the Southern Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club. It is the second oldest Dandie Club serving the South of England. We hope to appeal to all those who love the Dandie Dinmont. We are a friendly group who are committed to promoting the breed and supporting our members. We hope you enjoy the site and that we can help you discover more about this wonderful breed.
The SDDTC is licensed by the Kennel Club to hold two breed shows a year - a Spring Open Show in April (in conjunction with our AGM) and a Championship Show with Kennel Club Challenge Certificates in September. These are held at Cricklade Town Hall, Cricklade, near Swindon in Wiltshire.
One day educational programmes are held at a variety of venues to encourage anybody interested in Dandies including breeders, exhibitors and those wishing to become Judges. We are keen to promote good health in the Dandie and hold Eye Testing clinics, Grooming Seminars and Fun Days.
Our members come from all over the world but mostly the UK - from all walks of life. Some are breeders while some are very involved in showing, whilst many are pet owners but all our members have a deep and lasting affection for the Dandie.
Our goals are to further the advancement of the Dandie Dinmont Terrier and to encourage the breeding of what is now a Kennel Club Vulnerable Breed.
